Project Summary

RBF Consulting (RBF)’s 1,000 engineering professionals provide civil engineering services from RBF’s 14 offices in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Recently named one of the best firms to work for by CE News, RBF is committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing throughout the firm. To facilitate team building and teamwork among employees, the firm provides accurate, interactive, and easy-to-use ‘people finder’ office maps on its intranet. It uses AutoCAD® and Autodesk® Design Review software applications to create, share, review, and revise the maps. As a result of these efforts, RBF has: 

• Encouraged digital design collaboration interaction among engineers 
• Saved as many as 50 hours annually among senior staff by making it easier to reconfigure department floor plans 
• Enabled its technical support staff of 15 to work more efficiently 
• Introduced the entire firm to an effective digital design-sharing solution
